When COVID made it impossible to meet people or to do photo sessions, I started a series of self portraits, featuring one colour per shoot. This was the first of the series.
To match the background, clothing and neutral expression, I created a pale skin tone and dark hair. To me, it all creates a sense of stillness or even emptiness. It is neutral and yet it is not.
