Paulien
Nomen est omen. Often, at least. It is definitely the case for Paulien’s brand, which is called Leaves for Liz. For her illustrations, Paulien takes inspirations from nature and, voila, the leaves appear on her pages.
We spent a preparation process together with a moodboard, exploring important steps in her work. In a full day shoot at her home and surroundings in Aken, we then created these images.
OUtDOORS
It was February. The colours were subdued outside. We took a walk, searched for some trees and interesting backgrounds and found this spot (pic below).
Paulien often has company while she is drawing. The best company, I’ld say.
Her cat. Although he was not very interesting in being cuddled, I wish he would have been.
