Bookbirth A what? Yeah. Bookbirth. Made it up. But when Marthe from Contentatelier asked me to document the moments when a new book was being made at the printing house, this was the word that came up. It’s a birth. And yes, like a birth, it comes with wonder and emotion. Which book, you wonder? This one. “Magnetisch leiderschap” by Anne van Caeneghem. Octobersong retreat Together with Anje Claes (printmaker) and Rachael Tyrell (painter), I am part of a small art collective named Octobersong. The three of us have spent many hours together. Monotype printing workshop In September 2024, the art collective Octobersong, of which I am part of, held a workshop at the Abdij Keizersberg in Leuven. To prepare for this workshop, Anje Claes, the printmaker of our artist trio, showed Rachael Tyrell (painter) and myself (currently writing this post) how monotype printing works. Here you can see her going through the steps. It’s always impressive (literally speaking) to witness someone practice their art.
Fashion revolution There are lots of things that need to change when it comes to fashion. Talking slow instead of fast, thinking ethical and sustainable. Thinking less is more. This photoshoot was a small contribution to create change. Creating images for Fashion Revolution Belgium. Together with Shanturu and Tena, the two wonderful models, we went on a photoshoot in Brussels, using clothing of different fashion designers.
